So it seems we came back from Joburg to find the silly season in full swing! Where did the year go? I feel like it’s complete madness, but Christmas is literally around the corner. And so with that in mind, we have decided to make our annual Christmas stockings out of our Prickly Pears fabric this year. Who said Christmas has to be all snow and winter and reindeers? At least we’re still keeping in line with the green and red theme : ) Here’s how we plan to celebrate Christmas South African style.

And who says you can’t decorate your whole Christmas table in our Prickly Pears this year. We have table runners, napkins, trays and pot stands to help make it look effortless, and you get to use everything all year round.

We are also going to be offering some Prickly Pears and fynbos-inspired SA style Christmas cards to our range over the next few weeks.
We would also like to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who came and supported us at the Sanlam Handmade Contemporary Fair in Joburg last month. What an incredible event to be a part of. It was our first time at the show, and we really had such a blast. In case you missed it, here are a few pics from our stand.

We were also lucky enough to be featured as one of the Mail & Guardian‘s “10 best design stalls to look for” at the show which was such an honour.

While we were there we also showcased our newest product, our hotel slippers, which really went down a treat. The slippers are readily available in 3 sizes in our Prickly Pears, Pretty Proteas and Pink Flamingo prints, as well as a select few one-off prints in (man) sizes.

The Handmade Contemporary Fair was the one event we had planned for this time of the year, for a change. But even though we have decided to keep our Christmas events to a minimum this year, you can still find a selection of our products at various fairs and shows around the country over the next few weeks.
This weekend you can find our products at two different markets in and around Cape Town. Flick Inc is taking some of our products, including our new Prickly Pears Christmas Stockings, to the Constantia Gift Fair which is on at SARDA in Constantia from 2-6 November.
You can also find a small selection of our products on sale at the Festive Ideas market at Simondium Country Lodge, also on from 2-6 November.

We were also very happy to have some of our fynbos designs readily available to buy at The Cape Town Flower Show which was such a success this last weekend at the Castle of Good Hope in Cape Town.
And most importantly, we will most certainly be having a late night Christmas shopping experience at our shop with Windowsill in Cape Town in mid December. Expect all things Christmassy with lots of special offers and discounts on the night. The final date is TBC but you can follow our shop on facebook or watch this space if you would like to be kept in the loop.
And lastly look what we spotted in the September issue of Home/Tuis. Doesn’t this gorgeous home just make you want to curl up by the fire with a cup of tea and a good book!
